Customized Weather Girl McNeely/Lorello by arcadian7 Customized Weather Girl McNeely/Lorello by arcadian7
I'm admittedly very proud with the way the paint job on this gal turned out. Shawn did a nice job customizing this Breyer Weather Girl model giving her a new mane, tail and adjustments to her face. I've added a rather difficult paint job depicting a chestnut going grey - it took some time just studying pictures online of this particular color and I hope Shawn likes the result as she ships out to her today.

The colour is perfect. I can't even imagine how long that must have taken you.
Great job!

Wow must have taken you ages. Looks like it's been etched too? Or have you just painted the hair in? (Hard to tell in the photo)

she's all hand painted. I started with a base color in acrylics, then added some chestnut smudging with pastel dust, then it was a ton of ticking for each individual hair with a special reservoir brush a fellow artist turned me on to. It took me about six months just studying the color from reference images and trying to "feel" the color before I actually started in on it - and that did take quite a bit of time to accomplish. I should get some close ups posted.
