I'm admittedly very proud with the way the paint job on this gal turned out. Shawn did a nice job customizing this Breyer Weather Girl model giving her a new mane, tail and adjustments to her face. I've added a rather difficult paint job depicting a chestnut going grey - it took some time just studying pictures online of this particular color and I hope Shawn likes the result as she ships out to her today.
she's all hand painted. I started with a base color in acrylics, then added some chestnut smudging with pastel dust, then it was a ton of ticking for each individual hair with a special reservoir brush a fellow artist turned me on to. It took me about six months just studying the color from reference images and trying to "feel" the color before I actually started in on it - and that did take quite a bit of time to accomplish. I should get some close ups posted.
